Tuition can be expensive, single-lane, and on someone else's timetable.

A typical Malaysian family pays RM150–500 a month per subject. Centres are usually one language, one subject, one schedule. A class of thirty kids cannot pace itself to your child — and at 9pm, when the question finally comes, no tutor is there to answer it.
